Happy Monday! Despite my sadness about not being at #SBSCon this weekend, I had plenty to enjoy here at home. If you're curious, you can check out some of the conference highlights from
Morgan, the other half of "Team Muse."
On Friday afternoon, I met my mom for a lunch date at
V Pizza. We've been living in the same city for a year, and although we talk almost everyday, we both feel like we hardly ever see each other. We've decided to shoot for a weekly lunch date to make sure we take advantage of living so close, and this week was our first date.
V Pizza is a new spot in San Marco, and they have delicious gluten free pizza. (My mom had the regular pizza, and she raved about the thin crust and fresh mozzarella.) Jacksonville locals, it is definitely worth a try - we both ate our entire pizzas!
We had a very quiet Friday night. A huge storm rolled through, so rather than rallying for a night out on the town, we made a delicious peach salad, poured some wine, and signed up for Netflix. (I know, I know. Welcome to 2014, Bryan Family.) We started House of Cards, and we're hooked. I like that we have the option to watch the entire season at once, but we haven't taken advantage of any binge watching...yet.

Baby Lep in a baby rocker |
Saturday morning, we took advantage of a break in the rain and headed out for breakfast. Our usual breakfast spot just started making gluten free muffins, but they were sold out by the time we arrived. Since muffins are basically the only reason I eat breakfast, we headed down the street to
Sweet Theory Bakery for some gluten free baked goods. We grabbed a few donuts and stopped by my parents' house to make a special delivery. My nephew spent the night with his KK and Papa, and we laughed so hard at his immediate infatuation with donuts. The bunny pajama suit might not fit much longer.
We did a little shopping on Saturday, and I scored these amazing agate bookends from Pottery Barn. They go perfectly in our blue and white living room, and I've been rearranging to find the perfect place for them.

via Taco Lu's Facebook |
Saturday night we ventured to the beach for dinner with friends. We went to Taco Lu, a funky baja mexican restaurant with a devoted following. Saturday was Taco Lu's birthday celebration, so the scene was crowded but fun for our first experience. There were acrobats in costume, specialty drinks, and an amazing selection of unique tacos. A late night run to Rita's Italian Ice was the perfect ending to the night.

Peach pie |
Sunday we went to church, ran some errands, and watched the World Cup. I tried a new peach pie recipe (more to come on that one), and we got organized for the week ahead.
Wishing you all a wonderful Monday, and a great week ahead.
